Peak District Photography
The Peak District is an area of great beauty and interest in the northern region of England. The area was designated a national park in 1951 making it the earliest national park in the British Isles. The Peak District covers 555 square miles of Derbyshire, Staffordshire, Cheshire, Greater Manchester, South and West Yorkshire, and includes a huge area known as the Peak. The highest point in the in the area is plateau called Kinder Scout which is 636m above sea level. The area is dominated by beautiful rounded hills, waterfalls, heather moorlands, woodlands, and peat bogs. The Peak District is a perfect place to go for activities such as climbing, mountain biking, rambling, and photography!
