Venice is the perfect city to lose your way off some mysterious alleyway and then spend the day trying to find your way back. Venice remains an architectural masterpiece full of color (colour, if in the U.K.), texture, and history at every turn. You can take a Vaporetto cruise down the Grand Canal, a gondola ride driven by an Italian guy in a stripy shirt, eat pizza at St. Marks Square, coffee by Ponre di Rialto, or just enjoy the scenery on foot.
